Policy 711 is the new food policy here at jmh. "This policy establishes the minumum requrements for creating a healthier school food environment. This policy affects foods that are sold offered or otherwise served." States the form. Healthier food environment refers to the consistency between the food and drink selection, in which students eat/drink.

The department of Education and Early Childhood development believes that Healthy eating during childhood and adolecence promotes optimal health and contributes to physical and intellectual development. Also that the purpose of selling foods and drinks in schools is to provide the required nutrients to students, not for profit.

An aditional peice of information is that if a restaurant sells or offers their products they will not be advertised and the food itself must be served in plain packaging without labels.

Now policy 127 states

all money earned from nutritional profit shall be used back into the food and or for further educational purposes.
