Learning financial skills is crucial to future financial freedom.  Since 2004 Credit Counselling Services of Atlantic Canada, Inc. (CCSAC) has awarded $182,000 to students across Atlantic Canada.  With several $1,000 scholarships available annually, we continue to provide students with the tools to minimize their post-secondary debt and to use credit wisely. Our scholarship is released in January of the following year that it is awarded.

CCSAC Scholarships are open to residents of Atlantic Canada (regardless of age) who will be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary program in the up-coming academic year. Applications are accepted in both French and English. The scholarship recipients will be required to provide proof of acceptance and enrollment.

I received this email from Nichole Stennes, a researcher from She has compiled a handy list of resources for Scholarship applications. The links to her research is below.

I’m with, a website dedicated to conducting data driven and unbiased research about topics that can help make an impact in people's lives. We have just finished a study that I wanted to share with you to see if it could be valuable for students and families in your community.

I'm guessing that like us, you too have noticed there is no shortage of information about the numerous scholarships available to students. In the course of our research, we found a common pain point among students was finding tools to sort through all the available scholarships to find those that would be most applicable to their situation. So we spent over 200 hours researching 17 of the most popular scholarship search platforms that are currently available. We analyzed and audited them using five core metrics to identify key functionality, research tools, and useful student resources.

You can see the entire guide along with some of its features here:

We're trying to raise awareness around the barriers that hinder students from pursuing their college education and wanted to see if you could help us. We would appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with you to share these free guides anywhere on your website so that students and their families can have access to these resources.
