Max Aitken Academy in Miramichi is thrilled to have been selected to represent New Brusnwick in Classroom Champions and the NHL’s announcement of Lessons from Willie. The program is designed to bring the story of Willie O’Ree to light, and his experience as the first back player in the NHL. The program includes social justice and anti-racism resources to schools across North America and a series of inspirational videos that educators and families can use to start meaningful conversations with kids.Read more

EECD is strongly encouraging support of the "mask-up" campaign when students return to school this week. EECD is asking all students and school staff across New Brunswick to wear their mask throughout the day as an extra layer of protection for the weeks of January 4-8 and January 11-15.

Dialogue New Brunswick recently launched The 2020-2021 Social Cohesion Lab which aims to assist youth ages 15-30 “to develop projects in our various communities in New Brunswick that are related to social cohesion, affecting economic, cultural, social and political aspects.” The cohort of 20 youth that have been selected has been announced and Anglophone North School District is well represented with 8 youth coming from our district.Read more
