Hi Tommies! We just wanted to touch base with all of you, as we are missing being at school together.
We know that you have many questions about finishing this semester and how things will look moving forward, and right now we don’t have all the answers either.
We do know that on Monday April 6th James M Hill, along with other schools, will begin the transition to Home Learning. And we also know we have a staff who is working very hard behind the scenes to get ready to help you continue your learning. More information will follow on the specifics of Home Learning in a memo that will come from EECD in the coming days.
For now, you can expect that all JMH students will receive a phone call from one of their teachers over the next week or so, just to touch base and make sure all is well. This call is a simple check-in—the teacher who calls won’t have all the answers to your questions—but there will be answers in the days to come as all the partners in this learning journey work together for our students.
We will be updating our webpage and Facebook page regularly with information as we go forward, and teachers will also be working through a variety of mediums to provide learning opportunities.
The JMH webpage (jmh.nbed.nb.ca) will be updated over the weekend with information for students as to where to look for updates from their teachers.
If access to technology is an issue for you, please let the teacher who calls you know this.
In the meantime, Tommies--be patient, be kind, take care of each other, stay home and stay well.
