This Tuesday, Mount Allison University will be visiting JMH. Acceptance on the spot will be available as long as you have your transcript prepared for evaluation. Make sure to write your name down on the sheet in Guidance if you wish to attend this presentation.
This week the boys JV basketball team will not be having practice Monday night, November 5 2018. There will be practice Wednesday night at 7 o’clock with josh Mullen. It is still undecided if there will be practice on Friday But there will NOT be conditioning on Saturday this week. The usual coach is away in London England for the week so practices will return to normal next week. In addition, they will be having their first home game against NSER.
For the past few weeks, members of World Reality Education have been preparing the WRED room for customers. They’ve added shelves, organized the clothing and put up banners. World Reality Education is a non-profit organization run by JMH students that sells clothing to raise money to send Ugandan orphans to school. The WRED room is expected to open very soon. It is located across from the library near the entrance to the science wing. More details will be available at a later date.
On Thursday November 7, from 9:30am to 11:20am, Ms. Jean MacDonald's Grade 11 English class will be hosting their 2018 Remembrance Day Ceremony. MCs Riley Coughlan, Madison Smith and Dalton Sturgeon will be hosting a wide variety of talents and guest speakers to honor and commemorate the celebration of the War's 100th anniverssary. Everyone be sure to wear a poppy and be respectful during this occassion.
The boys hockey team on the weekend played in the fall classic tournament. On Friday night they took on ESN, they lost 6-1. Sam Cormier scored there only goal. On Saturday morning the boys took on Leo Hayes, they also lost 6-1 to this team. The goal scorer for this game was Micheal Rutter.
On November 3rd 2018 Saint Thomas University had there open house greeting all under grades with warm smiles and free breakfast which included coffee and a variety of muffins. They were showing off there courses trying to help kids decide what they would like to do after school and explain how the courses work. As later on they had tours around the campus and a free lunch. Saint Thomas showed a lot of cool stuff to bring in lots of students.

Last Saturday, November 3rd 2018, St. Thomas University had there fall open house. This open house had a lot to offer, such as tours run by current STU students, a Faculty Fair where they had representatives from each department on campus speak to you about the program, and even a free lunch in the STU cafeteria. If any grade 12's interested in applying to STU, there will be admissions on the spot on Thursday morning, but if your still not sure, STU will be holding another open house in the winter!
