On Monday October 1st, Blue shirts roamed the hallways throughout James M Hill Memorial High School. Mostly everyone was wearing blue to help raise awareness of bullying prevention. The leading national anti-bullying and cyberbullying prevention organization created blue shirt day to signify the importance of national bullying prevention awareness month each October, and this year, James M Hill went out of the way to make this one special! I asked Student Council co-president, Abby Desveaux, why it was important that student from James M Hill should be supporting blue shirt day. Desveaux's response was "It's important for students to support blue shirt day so that we can eliminate bullying in school. Here at James M Hill our teachers work so hard to create the best atmosphere for our students so it's at least we can do to wear a blue shirt and try and do the same.". Since blue shirt day was such a success, students will be looking forwards to every October to raise awareness by wearing blue!
