This past weekend the boy’s baseball team captured the zone championship. The team started off the weekend by losing to MVHS on Thursday by a score of 5-0. After that loss the boys never looked back as they defeated E.M.E by a score of 11-1 with Evan savoy getting the win. With that win the Tommies advanced to the semifinals and were set to face the WAL Bison. The Tommies breezed by WAL with a final score of 13-0 and was ended by the mercy rule in the 5th inning. Riley Keoughan took home the win and everyone in the lineup contributed at the plate to help the Tommies pave there way the zone finals. In the Finals the boys were looking to get revenge on their cross river rivals. JMH was looking for a strong pitching performance out of Jayden McIntyre. That he did throwing 7 innings of shutout ball only walking two and allowing no hits. The team battled hard and only manufactured two runs but with Jayden spinning a gem the two runs was enough for the team to capture the zone championship. With the first place finish in the zone the Team will travel to Moncton to take on Riverview High in the regional championship.
