Exam Week Guidelines

Please See The Following Guidelines for Exam Week Lunch will be from 11:00 – 12:00 Exam Week and a barbeque lunch sponsored by our Home and School will be available in the Student Lounge from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon each day.  The Cafeteria is not open for lunch but will have Breakfast each day.  Regular classes will meet until Friday, January 22nd inclusive and reconvene on Tuesday, February 2.  On January 22, Grade 9’s will write the Literacy Assessment and any Grade 10, 11 and 12 student who has not passed the assessment (Writing Component) will need to write the reassessment on that day too. Second Semester begins Tuesday, February 2. Grade 9’s will write the ELPA on the second floor of  the school.  All students re-writing will write in the library. If students are in the building during exam period they must be in the library. Buses will run at the regular times onlyStudents must stay in classrooms the full examination time. In the event of school closure – the exam scheduled to be written on the day school was closed will be written on the day students return.  If necessary, the exam schedule may be revised following a school closure. Students missing an exam must call the school on the day of the exam and provide medical verification upon returning to school. Except for exemption and or extraordinary circumstances any student that does not write an exam will receive a mark of zero on that exam. Anyone caught cheating on an exam will receive zero for the exam and will be further disciplined from school. Books should be taken home in advance to assist in exam preparation in the event of a storm. Textbooks for Semester 1 courses must be turned in before the exam or at exam time.  Exam paper/booklets will be supplied as part of the student fee.
