Field Hockey Double-Header

Your Tommies field hockey team will be on the road Saturday, October 15^th, in Moncton. Their first game will be against Harrison Trimble at 10:00, then they play at 2:00 against Riverview High which will make up their double-header for the weekend.

 Over the years, the field hockey team has always been strong contenders and this year is no exception. They will be looking to add to their strong start to the season having no losses to their record but went into a 0-0 deadlock against Bernice MacNaughton. The girls played a good defensive game, but neither team could find the back of the net. This team just like the teams that came before them have one mission, one goal, and that is to raise that Provincial banner in the gym. Even though they lost last year’s senior leaders like Lauren Green, there are new seniors like Stephanie Stewart and Hillary Curtis to name a few, taking the torch as leaders on this roster. Today, I asked Stephanie Stewart about her favorite memory on the team. “I’d say winning provincials when I was in grade 10”.
