The Hoop Classic took place over the weekend and that’s the signal of the beginning of a new season for our boys and girls basketball teams. The girls lost their first two games to MVHS and Saint John High but made the last game of the tournament count beating Leo Hayes 57-50. Although losing the first two games, they played hard and competitively against some tough matchups. Player of the game honor went to Alicia Galley. The boys also had tough matchups from the start playing against the fourth seed in AAA, MVHS and the third seed, KVHS. The boys lost both and was certainly not for lack of effort. Then in their third game, they beat John Caldwell 107-86. Player of the game went to Matthew Daigle. Keep it up Tommies!
