Journey to Fredericton

Posted: December 5, 2016

The boys varsity basketball team went on a journey to Fredericton for the Maritime Invitational. They started off strong, winning their opening game against St. Malachy's and it wasn’t even close. Then they had a 3 game marathon on Saturday. First, winning a close, early morning tilt against Fredericton Christian. It was an intense 40 minutes with 2 very good teams and the Tommies came out on top with a last second free throw by Christien Dickson, putting the game away by a single point and making their record 2-0 and qualified for the quarter-finals. They then played another close one against Harvey but unfortunately came up short in the end. On Saturday evening, they played in the quarter-finals. However, after playing 2 games that day already, the boys ran out of gas and lost to FHS JV. They will be back tonight as they travel to Bathurst to play ESN, good luck boys.
