Next Thursday, October 25th, at 7:00 p.m., Kevin Hines will be doing a presentation at James M Hill. Kevin Hines is a suicide survivor, story teller, mental health activist and recently released a film on his story. This event will be free to attend.
On September 24th, 2000, Kevin Hines was only 19 years old when he jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge. Throwing himself headfirst over the bridge railing, he fell 220 feet into San Francisco Bay. A United States Coast Guard rescued him, and he was transported to a hospital in San Francisco where he received emergency surgery. He is the only Golden Gate Bridge jump survivor who is actively spreading the message of having a positive mental state all over the world. Kevin is a member of many different foundations, councils, committees and more.
If you plan on attending this, make sure to go there early as it’ll definitely be a packed event.
