Friday Oct 21st 2016- Members from Kin Canada were on hand to deliver a presentation to our grade 11s and 12s on the importance of volunteering. Kin Canada Works to better their communities, enhance the well-being of Canadians and improve the environment. The presenters were as follows. Lee Burry of the Kinsmen Club of Fredericton. He's past Governor and a past National President, James Doerr of Kinsmen Club of Thunder Bay Hill City and current National President, Erin Thomson of the Kinette Club of Timmins and is a National Director, Jody Foster of Kin Club of Florenceville and he's the Deputy Governor of District 7, Zone A, and Michael Loggie, Kinsmen Club of the Miramichi, Past President of the local club. The reason they stressed the importance of volunteering is because these days volunteer hours are important on resumes and more importantly college applications. So no matter if it’s an hour or even a half an hour every little bit counts so get out and volunteer.
