The Plagiaristic Pulamoo

What makes James M Hill the best high school in Miramichi…? Originality. And recently we have been challenged by our rivals across the river, Miramichi Valley High School. On Wednesday October 11 2017, there was a feeling of pain throughout the school as we discovered our ideas had been stolen. Wellness Wednesday which was our glorious brain child here at JMH was ripped off by our counterpart. Many students the following day went to school aghast and confused on how our rivals were able to so effortlessly take our ideas.

“Sounds familiar” an unnamed student of James M Hill commented on their Facebook post heroically saying what no other student had the guts to say. “Mimicry is the best form of flattery” said a student who was trying to be optimistic without unsettling the rest and ease our two schools have had for many years. We have grown to not dislike each other as much as we used to years ago (except when we are competing with each other in a sports game).

However, this isn’t the first time they have been taking ideas from us. A few days after we announced our haunted house group on Facebook, MV announced theirs as well with too many similarities in the description as we had for ours.

It has now become a joke within our school that they have a mole who is infiltrating our student body and leaking our ideas. Many are easy to point fingers and others are still working on their conspiracy theories, but nonetheless, these coincidences are becoming too uncanny.
