The James M Hill boy’s hockey team competed in the annual fall classic tournament. Hosted by the cross river rival MVHS Pulamoo. To kick off the tournament Friday night, we saw the Tommie’s face off against the Pulamoo in a game that featured lots of big hits and was a high scoring game as the Pulamoo finished the game with a 7-0- victory. Tommie’s captain Adam Flanagan, received MVP of this game. In the second game for the Tommie’s we saw them clash with the Kennebecasis Crusaders in an awesome game where we witnessed Ryley Russell score his first goal as a part of the Tommie’s hockey team! JMH then fell short in the game where they ended up losing with a final score of 4-1. Zoe Tozer received MVP of this game as she played hard after an injured Mike Walsh couldn’t start this game making this Zoe’s second start in as many games. The last game of the weekend for the Tommie’s was an early morning game with FHS. This game started out good for the Fredericton Black Cats as they started out strong and it was just too much for the young Tommie’s team as they fell to another 7-0 loss. Stuart Connors got MVP of this game. The boys will kick off their regular season this Friday at the LBA (Lord Beaverbrook Arena), 8’oclock start.
