Vaccinations

Posted: April 23, 2010

Vaccinations will be given to Grade 12 and Grade 9 students on Monday, April 26th. Forms were given out over the past two weeks and everybody who has consent will be called by class to receive their needle. These vaccines are to prevent serious diseases. The grade 9 students will be vaccinated against Invasive Meningococcal Disease. This disease can cause meningitis and septicemia. The grade 12 students will be inoculated against Measles, Mumps, and Rubella. Vaccinations are usually given earlier in the school year, but since this year we had H1N1 shots, these vaccinations were held back until now.
