It has been an exciting season and a breath of fresh air this fall but unfortunately, it is the end of the year for Tommies football. After winning the first River Bowl against MVHS, they lost in the first round of the playoffs against Oromocto High. Even though they were playing in the rain and the cold, the Tommies gave it their all right to the bitter end. Despite losing over the weekend, it was a successful first season, making the playoffs, beating MVHS in the first River Bowl and some players were recognized for their hard work, and strong play on the gridiron. James M. Hill’s own Jake Caissie and Jared MacDonald have been named All-Stars in the 10 Man league. With all of this in their first season alone, it seems to be that this could be the dawn of a new age of sports. Not only for JMH, but for the Miramichi as a whole.
