Phys Ed 9 & 10/ Nutrition 120

Posted: April 6, 2020

Hello Everybody,

I would like to start off by saying I hope you are all doing well and I am really looking forward to seeing you all again soon! Though we cannot physically be together at JMH, we can still stay in touch with the use of technology. That being said, if any of you need to contact me for any reason, you can message me at I also want to let you know that I will be using my teacher page as my primary source to get information out to you with regards to staying physically active. I am also asking that you check the Physical Education page periodically as well.

Phys Ed 9 & 10 - For the first two weeks I am simply asking that you get some fresh air and physical activity for a minimum of 60 minutes per day. Spring is finally here so get outside, enjoy the fresh air and have some fun! Go for a walk, a jog, a hike, a bike ride, have a catch with a family member, practice your hockey skills (stickhandle, shoot pucks, etc.), work on your jump shot, kick the soccer ball around, toss the frisbee, football, the possibilities are endless. I have attached an activity log which includes three sections- 30 minutes of outside activity, 15 minutes of family walking, and 15 minutes for a dance/workout challenge, so you can keep track of your daily activities.

I am also asking that my Wellness Nutrition 120 students keep a daily food log as well as an activity log for the next two weeks. I would like you to keep track of all your meals, snacks, water intake, etc. and I encourage you to make healthy choices whenever possible. It is very important to do as much as you can to stay healthy during this time!

That’s all for now. Take care everyone!
