Broadcast Journalism- Period #1- Students are working with Mr. Martin writing class to construct stories through audio software. The audio software will enable them to make effective radio programs, documentaries and create an environment for their video stories. Tomorrow students will group themselves and develop a proposal for their short story. Script will then be written and recorded next week. Period #2- Multimedia- Photoshop Assignment: Create a poster or Cd cover that uses all the elements that you have learned through photoshop. I will be looking for evidence of the following: 1.       Pictures 2.       Background with colour. 3.       Text (Font type) 4.       Filters 5.       Symbols that help push the message of the poster. 6.       Colour and Hue changes 7.       Visually appealing 8.       Clone stamping 9.       Layering- at least 7-10 different layers 10.   Evidence of brushes, cut-outs and other tools You will have 4 days to accomplish the task. Due on Wednesday 15th December 2010. Period #3-#6- Ancient History- Students will look at the island of Crete and the Mycenaean culture. We will examine why these two cultures conflicted and how this is significant in our time.
