Period #1- Ancient History- Objective: Students will examine the geographical regions associated with the development of the Egyptian Civilization.               The Students will be given their Mesopotamian test. Students will the read and discuss the Geographical elements and climate associated with Egypt. The teacher will tie into the current world issues involving the nation. The students will be able to identify where Egypt is on the map and explain what they would have to do to live in such a climate. We will also examine what the historical significance behind the history of Egypt.Period #2- Media StudiesObjective: The students will present their description and product to promote the school website. The students will have the opportunity to present the information to the Principal of the school, take his suggestions and finish their product.Period #4- Ancient History.Objective: Students will examine the geographical regions associated with the development of the Egyptian Civilization.              The Students will be given their Mesopotamian test. We will also examine what the historical significance behind the history of Egypt.Period #6- Theatre Arts- Objective: The students will prepare and present a persuasive presentation on a Broadway production.Musical Project    Broadway musicals have been a delightful pastime of many that appreciate the theatre. From the time people gathered into the Elizabethan theatre to view Shakespeare plays to the present time, plays and musicals have allowed the audience to drift away to another time and place. In-groups of 2-3 students will research and present one musical. They may choose their own or pick from the teacher’s list. First students must research about some of the background of popular musicals.  Choose a musical- ·      Start with the title, the writers and the directors. ·      Get the History behind its setting. (time period) ·      Talk about the characters, include a character sketch of the top 3-5 characters. ·      Explain the plot of the musical. (What is it all about?) ·      What is the climax? ( the high point of the musical).   In each production their are "wow" factors what are some that you will use to creatively draw in your audience..   Explain why this musical works for the JMH stage..   Talk about the audience and how you will reach them..   Illustrate and talke about the set and cost of production. ·      Include pictures, examples of music.Due on Monday March 21st, 2011.
