The TADD group held a activity this week called "TADD Trivia". In TADD Trivia, TADD asks a question every day, people have a few choices of answers to pick from and people answer it at a small table at the second half of lunch. We had three questions this week, and a lot of people came to answer them. It was a great turnout and we helped raise awareness in the progress!

French language proficiency interviews are taking place this week at JMH. All grade 12 students currently enrolled in a PIF or immersion class are given the chance to do an interview to demonstrate their proficiency in French. The interview takes around 30 minutes, with the goal of proving that the student has achieved a level of proficiency in the language that will be useful in the workplace. Any grade 12 students currently taking French that are unsure of when their interview will take place should see Ms. McKinnon or Mme. Plourde.

On Monday November 19 2018, at around 8:25am, every class in James M. Hill had brought in gifts to put in shoe boxes for children in Africa. With every class having boxes ready, they were shipped from the school early that morning. The love and passion of James M. Hill will surely spread across the world this year with this gift.

On Thursday November 15th it was national jersey day. Jersey day is a day where students can wear a jersey from any team that they wish. Those who did not wear a jersey, say that they enjoyed seeing the students of JMH dress up to represent their favorite teams. Students also say that it’s great that a lot of people participated and that’s it’s a great way to get to know other students interests without speaking to them.

There is a new assistant coach, Krista King! We are happy to have you Krista! At their last practice, the entire team took a vote on who will be team captains. Congratulations to Brayden King and Kieran MacPherson on being team captains this year! This week the boys JV basketball team played a game against NSER at JMH. The game was played at 5:30, but Ryan Duggan (The JV Coach) was asking all players to be there by 4:30 for warm-up. At the end of that game, the score was 62-45 for the Tommies.
