English112 ~ Great job creating questions for the short story "The Lottery" using Bloom's Taxonomy. Now it's time to answer those questions. Also, don't forget about the quiz tomorrow on the vocabulary from "The Lottery".
English 113 ~ Today we started working on our projects for the novel The Contender. Tomorrow will be a computer day as well as you won't be here on Friday.

English 112 ~ Let the drafting begin! Tomorrow we will in the computer lab to get started on the next step of your compare/contrast essays. If you need to continuing drafting tomorrow that is fine. Final copies and Ven diagrams are due Monday, 18th.

English 112 ~ Me again! We are continuing with Edgar Allan Poe. Unfortunately our time was cut short and we didn't get a chance to finish reading "The Cask of Amontillado". Don't fret, we'll continue tomorrow, and remember if you can't stand the suspense go ahead and read it on your own!
English 113 ~ So are you all tested out? Today we completed a test for the historical fiction "Salem Village, Mass." and a test to help me determine appropriate reading material for each of you. No homework for tomorrow, but if you were absent be prepared to write those tests tomorrow.

English 112 ~ Hi! Today we had about 15-20 minutes of silent reading. We are beginning the Edgar Allan Poe portion of our Short Fiction unit, so fittingly we discussed a time when we truly felt afraid and whether that fear was real or imagined. No homework!
English 113 ~ Hi! Today we read silently for about 15 minutes. Continuing with our Short Fiction unit we discussed making inferences and how to make judgements based on prior knowledge. Remember to "read between the lines". Dr. Seuss, an author of children's literature, even appeals to an older audience when we read a little deeper. For homework complete the chart for "Yertle the Turtle".

English 112 ~ We had a lab day to work on the final copies of your newspaper article for the short story "Twins". Due tomorrow.
English 113 ~ We had the opportunity to see things from a much younger perspective today (Innocent eye) while reading Sarah Salway's short story "Quiet Hour". Complete the 8 questions and the plot diagram for tomorrow.
