Congratulations to the Tommies soccer girls for their tying the current northern zone leaders, ESN, 2-2 last night in Petit Rocher!  The Tommies found themselves down 2 – 0 at the half, but some solid team defensive play held the Rebelles scoreless in the second half.  Grade eleven midfielder Erin MacDonald netted the first goal for the Tommies, with a creative facial assist from Victoria Stymiest, while Kelsey Hansen, grade nine, netted the second.  A special shout-out to Meg MacDonald, who once again cleared the ball off the goal line late in the game to save the day. Congratulations to the Tommies soccer girls for their win on the road against Bathurst High!  The girls cruised to a 3-0 victory with one goal by Kelsey Hansen and two from Victoria Stymiest.  Some great goalkeeping earned the shutout for our goalie, Alex Hache.  Good luck tomorrow as you go back on the road to ESN.

The girls played three games over the past two days, participating in a tournament in Matheu Martin on Friday and Saturday.  Their first game against l'Odysee ended in a 4 - 1 loss, with our lone goal being scored by one of our super seniors, Erica Drisdelle.  The girls lost a close one...and a VERY wet one...1 - 0 to Leo Hayes from Fredericton early Saturday morning, then dropped 3 - 1 to BHS that afternoon.  Freshman Monica Tremblay provided the Tommie goal.  Great play from all of our green and gold girls, especially our senior goalie, Brittany O'Toole, and our freshman goalie, Alex Hachey.
Great work, ladies!  We posted another win in our league games tonight, defeating MVHS 1 - 0!  One of our super seniors, Casey Flanagan, scored the game winner...with a little help from her green and gold friends!  Terrific game in the net from our friendly neighbourhood goalie, Brittany O'Toole, too.  Good luck in Moncton tomorrow!  Go Tommies!
