Broadcast Journalism: Students will all write a story about community and school. The stories should follow the article format discussed in class- 3-4 paragraphs- who/what/why/when/where and How. Students are also reminded that the announcements need to be completed.
Extension- if students are finished, they should view a news type program and offer a review on it. Comment on the things you like and dislike. Comment on the camera positioning and editing, the cuts, the personalities in front of the camera, the use of b-roll and other stand ups.
History 112- Students will submit their isms project to the teacher. Teacher will then open discussion and begin WW1.
Law 120- Students will divide up into 6 groups to look at Forensic science. The groups should be even members and the students will take the next two days to prepare their presentations. Presentation will involve a 1-page outline given to teacher (one per group) include where you got your sources. And a 5 -7 presentation on one of the following:
1. Handwriting analysis
2. DNA mapping
3. Fingerprinting
4. Hair analysis
5. Forensic dentistry
6. Bugs and the body
Each presentation should include an understanding as to how it works as well as discuss a case where forensic science produced evidence for conviction or evidence that freed someone.
