Period #1- Ancient History Objective: Students will understand the geographical position of ancient Mesopotamia and demonstrate their understanding of the of the negative and positive elements of the area. Quiz on 8 definitions/ the meaning of Mesopotamia/ geographical location/ Why this location? Period 2- Media Studies Objective: Students will examine how codes and conventions popularize our understanding of cultural norms. Students will discuss the codes and conventions that exists within media products and identify these within print and video.   Period #4- Ancient History Objective: Students will understand the geographical position of ancient Mesopotamia and demonstrate their understanding of the of the negative and positive elements of the area. Then students will examine how characters send and receive verbal and no verbal messages. What makes a good presentation? Through the interview process students will construct and example of non verbal information. Discussion on building a character/ the background research.
