TOMMIES WIN REGIONALS

The James M. Hill High School Field Hockey team finished first at Regionals this past Saturday and will continue their season another week.  The girls will be travelling to KVHS next weekend for Provincials where the top four teams in the province will fight for the coveted banner.   In the first game of the day the Tommies defeated Harrison Trimble High School by a score of 5-0.  Goal scorers for the Tommies were Janna Napke with two, Hailee Cook, Nicolette Noel, and Libby Kingston.   In the Tommies second game (for seeding purposes next weekend at Provincials) the Tommies were up against Bernice MacNaughton.  In regular season play, the teams went 1-1 against each other.  Right from the start of the game the Tommies dominated and out ran BMHS.  The final score for the Tommies was 3-0.  Goal scorers for this game were Amanda Ryan with two and Libby Kingston.  The Tommies would like to thank all their family and friends who came out to support them on Saturday.  Also, a special thank you to the Tommie Cat who made a special appearance at the second game.   Good Luck at Provincials Tommies!!!!
