 The Tommies have 34 girls on the squad this year, with many returning players as well as 13 new girls to the sport. The Tommies are going to work hard throughtout the season and make another run for a Provincial Banner again this year.

The James M. Hill Field Hockey team finished second at provincials.  The girls defeated KVHS in their semi final game.  Goal scorers were Libby Kingston with three, Janna Napke with two and Beth Dunn with one.  This win moved the girls into the Provincial final game against RNS.  The Tommies ended up losing the provincial final game 3-1.  Hailee Cook scored the lone goal for the Tommies.  The girls are looking forward to next season with many returning players.

The James M. Hill High School Field Hockey team finished first at Regionals this past Saturday and will continue their season another week.  The girls will be travelling to KVHS next weekend for Provincials where the top four teams in the province will fight for the coveted banner.   In the first game of the day the Tommies defeated Harrison Trimble High School by a score of 5-0.  Goal scorers for the Tommies were Janna Napke with two, Hailee Cook, Nicolette Noel, and Libby Kingston.   In the Tommies second game (for seeding purposes next weekend at Provincials) the Tommies were up against Bernice MacNaughton.  In regular season play, the teams went 1-1 against each other.  Right from the start of the game the Tommies dominated and out ran BMHS.  The final score for the Tommies was 3-0.  Goal scorers for this game were Amanda Ryan with two and Libby Kingston.  The Tommies would like to thank all their family and friends who came out to support them on Saturday.  Also, a special thank you to the Tommie Cat who made a special appearance at the second game.   Good Luck at Provincials Tommies!!!!

The Tommies finished the regular season with a record of 4-1-1 giving them first place in the Northeast league and allowing them to host the Northeast Regionals on Saturday October 22.   The schedule for Saturday is as follows:   Game #1 - 10:00am - JMH vs HTHS Game #2 - 12:00pm -  BMHS vs RHS Game #3 - 3:00pm - Winner of Game 1 vs Winner of Game 2 (for seeding purposes for Provincial Championships)   Come out on Saturday and cheer on your Tommies!!! The Tommies field hockey team split a pair of games in Moncton on the weekend.  The Tommies defeated Harrison Trimble in the first game by a score of 6-0.  Goal scorers were Nicolette Noel with three, Janna Napke with two and Kelsie Poole with one.  In the second game of the day the Tommies were defeated by Bernice MacNaughton 1-0.

The Tommies defeated BMHS at home by a score of 3-1.  The game was tied 1-1 at the half, the Tommies came out strong in the second half and were able to put two more in the net. Goal scorers for the Tommies were Andrea Dinan, Janna Napke and Hailee Cook.

The girls team tied Riverview High School by a score of 1-1.  Andrea Dinan scored the lone goal for the Tommies.

The girls had a successful day this past Saturday as they defeated Harrison Trimble High School.  The final score of the first game was 7-0 and the second game of the day finished with a 4-0 score.

The Tommies had a successful day on Saturday against Riverview High School.  In the first game of the day (League game), the Tommies came out on top by a score of 2-0.  Goals scorers for the Tommies were Darby Watling and Libby Kingston.  The second game of the day was an exhibition game and the girls came away with another win.  The final score was 3-0.  Goal scorers for the second game were Janna Napke, Amanda Ryan and Libby Kingston.  Macy Lloyd picked up the shutouts in net.    The Tommies travel to PEI this upcoming weekend (Sept. 23 & 24) for a tournament.  Good Luck Tommies!!
