In class today, we examined seven different ways to write a really effective INTRODUCTION for any essay, by grabbing the reader's attention with a great hook, and using a thesis to help in the organization of your essay.  We looked at some examples of these seven methods (they are attached to this post).  You were also given an assignment to complete for THURSDAY (attached to this post, too) that will require you to write TWO terrific introductory paragraphs. In addition (nice transition, eh?), you were provided with two copies of the rubric we developed together in class (one for each paragraph).  Good luck!
