Girls Tommie soccer team are off to regionals after playing in heavy rains on Saturday, October 22nd. They first played AQV at 10:00 am defeating them 3-0 with Shannon Bowes, Kailey McGraw and Haley Fanjoy each scoring a goal. Winning that game gave them their place this weekend in Regionals.

This past Saturday, the 22nd, the JMH Tommie’s made history. The boys got the first win in JMH football history. Also, they won the very first River Bowl! At the end of the first quarter the boys were tied with the Pulamoo 6-6, after the Pulamoo missed their field goal kick and the boys failed to manage to run the ball into the end zone for the extra points, but the score didn’t stay tied for long.

Tommies football team beat MV today 40-13 to claim the trophy for the first annual River Bowl and earn a playoff spot! Even the rain didn't dampen their spirits!

Today is a fresh start for the Boys basketball team. They will begin try-outs today, from 5:15-7:00, in the gym. Tryouts will continue Monday and Tuesday from 7:00-8:30. All boys from grades 9-12 are welcome to join whether you are playing JV or trying out for Varsity.

With the Tommie’s coming off a dominating 7-1 win over Bathurst high school the boys are looking to keep it going as they host Sussex at 8:00 Friday at the LBA and travel to Bathurst on Sunday. These are the last two games that the team plays before they kick off the Fall Classic against MVHS. With a second place finish at the Fall Classic last season the team is looking to have another good tournament.

The Tommie’s started the season off great, with a 7-1 victory over Bathurst high school in exhibition play Thursday night at the LBA. The boy’s played a very good two-way game and passed the puck very well. Andre Doucet scored the Tommie’s first goal this year, and cellyed real hard. Other goal scorers for the Tommie were: Alex Preston (2), Tyler Hartt (2), Stuart Connors, and Sam Hache, who went bardown.

Just a reminder that Culinary Café starts next Monday, the 24th. The Café will be open every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The menu varies each day. Make sure to check it out and support the culinary classes! The Goodie cart will also be available and will be wandering around the school, so dont miss it! Just be there before 12pm to get a yummy lunch!

Do you like to dance? Do you like to dress up? And do you like Halloween? Well do we ever have an event for you. Next Thursday October 27th there will be a Halloween dance , the theme for this dance is "JMH Graveyard Gala". There will be a prize for the best costume, so come ready to win! Even though it's Halloween there are some rules with costumes, if you wear a mask you must take it off when come into the door, dress code still applies, and the teachers must know who you are, just like every other dance if you sign someone in you will be responsible for that person!
