The Miramichi Kinsmen and School District 16 are pleased to accept film entries for the second annual Kin Film Festival. All School District 16 students are invited to participate. Films can be submitted in one of two categories: Open and The Kinsmen Category. The top 10 films in each category will be screened on May 12th, 2012 at Miramichi Empire Studio 5.Cash prizes of $500, $250 and $100 will be awarded for the winners in each category.
The JMH Alumni and Friends Assoc. is hosting a bazaar on Saturday, April 28th, 2012. at JMH. This will include a yard and bake sale, 50/50 ticket draw, and photoshoot with Kim Harris of Eyemagine. The yard and bake sale are from 7am-12pm. The phootshoot is from 9am-6pm (appts are still available!!!) Any donations for the yard and bake sales can be dropped off at the JMH main doors between 6-9pm on Friday, April 27th.

The JMH teachers are taking on the MVHS teachers in a hockey game. The game will take place today at 7:15 at the LBA. Come out cheer on your teachers and at the same time support a great cause as all money raised will go towards Safe Grad.

The James M Hill Culinary competition was held yesterday with 5 students participating. At the end of the day Jared Lavoie came out on top in first place in the competition and Tyler Stewart, Kayla Burke and Cassie Savoie were runners up. All Four will be continuing on to the district culinary competition which will be held on Saturday at MVHS. Great job and good luck!
The girls hockey team lost their last playoff game 1-0. They finished their season in second place and will advance to the provincials this friday in Fredericton, Good luck Girls!
