Science 9- They do not have any homework, but there will be a test coming up next week.  The date is to be decided as of yet   Environmental Science 123 and 122 - The are working on a species at risk project in class.  The project is due on Friday.

Science 9-  Students are working on the Ecosystems Unit.  They were assigned homework questions Page 23 5 and 6.  They were asked to try the questions and show evidence of trying.    Environmental Science 123 and 122-  We are discussing greenhouse effect and ozone depletion.  They just started a new project on Species at Risk.

Science 9- Students started the Ecosystems unit.  They got their test marks back from the space unit test and their current class mark as well.  Environmental Science 123 and 122-  They are writing a test on the topics of Energy, Succession, Water resources and pollution on Tuesday November 30.  They had a review in class on Friday and there will be more review on Monday.  Students should have their notebooks at home and textbooks to study with for the test.

Science 9- There is a test tomorrow, Tuesday Nov. 23.  The students had a Jeopardy review on Thursday, they were given a review sheet on Friday to complete for Monday.  The review sheet is posted in the document section. Environmental Science 123- They worked on a question sheet which is worth 15 marks.  The sheet needs to be completed for homework. Environmental Science 122-  They worked on a questions sheet worth 15 marks.    For environmental science, there will be a test coming up soon.

November 15-19, 2010

Science 9- Students will be finishing up the space probe projects and the space unit.  They will have a test on the space unit on Tuesday November 23.  There will be a review done in class with the students, but they should be looking over their notes every night.   Environmental Science 122 and 123- Students are looking at primary and secondary succession and were will be starting a unit on water pollution.

Science 9 - They are continuing the space probe project in class.  They need to bring in their supplies for the project because they are working on the probe in class.   Environmental Science 122 and 123 - They are finishing their projects on nutrient cycling.

Science 9- Students are working on a project to create a space probe.  They have been given a supply list (supplies they can find at home) and the instructions in class.  They will be working on this project for the next few days.  Each group has been asked to bring in one box of cornstarch if possible (not necessary).   Environmental Science 122 and 123-  Students have been working on a nutrient cycling project.  They started presenting them today in class.

Science 9 - Students are working through the Space Unit.  Today students were involved in the Take Our Kids to Work program.  Environmental Science 123 and 122-  Students are working on a project on the Nutrient Cycling.  They were given a project requirement sheet and each group was given a different nutrient cycle to investigate. They are expected to work on the project over the weekend and be prepared for Monday to discuss their topics.

Science 9 - Homework:  Finish Planet Poster and questions 1-10 on the Other objects in space sheet.   Environmental Science 123 and 122 - we completed the ecological pyramid activity and started the nutrient cylce sheet.

Science 9-  Student are in the space unit.  We are discussing constellations and Earth Motion.  The Reproduction Test were reviewed yesterday as well.   Environmental Science 123 and 122-  Students have had a couple of review days in class for their test on Tuesday.  The students have been aware of the test since last week.  The test is on the topics of Ecosystem Structure, Climographs and Biomes.

Science 9 - Homework- used the strategy of graphic outlines used in class to review the pages 195-197 in the Science 9 textbook.  Write a sentence or two about what each page is about.  Test has been moved to Monday.   Environmental Science 123 and 122-  Biome presentations continue.  Schedule is posted in the document section.

Science 9 - The students finished reviewing traits and started watching a video on Cloning.  They are taking notes from the video.   Environmental Science 123 and 122 - students worked on their biome projects today.  Biome sheet are in the document section.

Science 9 - The students worked on questions based on pages 176-178 and 180-181 in their textbook.  The questions focused on DNA and cancer.  They reviewed genetic traits as a class.  They got a sheet listing all of these traits.   Environmental Science 123 and 122 -  They are working on their biome projects today.  Biome project sheets are in the document section.
