Good morning, Tommies!

Let me start by saying how much I’m missing all of your faces!  I hope you are all doing well and staying safe :)

Below are a few directions for all of my students to help us get started in this new (to all of us) way of learning.

 A)  If you have forgotten your student email and/or password you can get a reset by texting your Full Name, School, and Grade to:  1-506-210-0127

B)   Email!  Please send me an email from your preferred email address so that I have a way to stay connected with you.  My e-mail is: cheris.young@nbed.nb.ca

C)   Starting today, APRIL 6th, I'll be calling all students in my homeroom class, along with a few others.  If you are not in my first period class but would like me to call you to answer any questions about your English or Mindfulness class, please include your preferred contact number in the email you send me.  (I’d love to hear all of your voices)

D)   Starting today, APRIL 6th, I'll be posting on this site, to get you started on some 'home learning'.  Please check this site daily for updates. J

English (Periods 1,2 &4)

Let’s start off easy.  READ!

I would like you to spend at least 30 minutes.  This can be a novel, short story, blog, news article, magazine articles, etc.  Your Choice!

Mindfulness 120 (Period 5)

HEY!!! It’s so great to touch base with all of you.  I hope you have been able to practice some mindfulness over the past couple of weeks, especially when you may have been feeling a bit overwhelmed by this whole situation. I am looking forward to continuing our Mindfulness journey together. Let’s start by getting connected!

Please e-mail me from your preferred e-mail to say “Hi”, you can add a brief message letting me know how you have been spending your time.  I really do miss all of your faces!  My e-mail is: cheris.young@nbed.nb.ca

Unfortunately the email accounts are down and I cannot access my email.  If any of you are working on your assignment and have questions, and if the system does not begin working before tomorrow, I will address your concerns tomorrow in class.  That would mean that I will not take marks off if I see that you were trying to reach me.  Thanks.  Ms. C.
