It has been an exciting season and a breath of fresh air this fall but unfortunately, it is the end of the year for Tommies football. After winning the first River Bowl against MVHS, they lost in the first round of the playoffs against Oromocto High. Even though they were playing in the rain and the cold, the Tommies gave it their all right to the bitter end.
The boy’s hockey team faced off against Sussex Friday night at the LBA. The Tommies were in the lead going in to the third by a score of 2-1 with Matt Carroll and Jon Russell scoring. With the lead the going in to the third the team played their best hockey of the game with Tyler Hartt scoring half way threw the period. Andrew lanteinge took care of the rest as the Tommies won 3-2.
Think you can beat Carey Price? Well you can prove yourself by purchasing tickets take three shots on a cardboard cut-out of NHL superstar, Carey Price. You can buy tickets at lunch, or see any of the teachers and the tickets will cost one dollar each. The first prize was $50.00 and unfortunately, no one scored so far.

We meet every Friday in Mrs. MacDonald’s room at 12 o’clock and new members are always welcome. We’re just a bunch of nerds talking about books, we don’t bite (hard). We hope to see you there!
Just a reminder to all students that November 10th there will be a Remembrance Day ceremony taking place at James M. Hill that is open for all students to attend. Also, on November 11th there will be a Remembrance Day ceremony that is open to the public, starting at about 11am. You will be able to purchase poppies around Miramichi for a donation. On the 10th our school (JMH) will be giving out poppies around the school to the students and staff for a cost of 2$. We will get called down to the auditorium in the morning and stay there until before lunch.
Every Friday during lunch, there are a few students who travel upstairs to room 571, Mrs. MacDonald's room. They talk about the books they're currently reading and they even suggest some awesome books for the others to read. As of now, Mrs. MacDonald is trying to find us a set of books to read together. Don't be shy, join us upstairs! It's a fun club to be in and I suggest you join us if reading is your favorite hobby!
Attention all grade 12 students who are looking for a great place to go to university in the fall! St. Thomas University will be here tomorrow October 28th, at 930 am, for an information session.
Hey Tommie’s, the fun has just begun with the serial pinner game back up and running. Starting today at lunch, students who signed up will go get their pins and begin hunting! If you pin somebody then you get to take their pin and go after the person they had. The person with the most pins at the end of the game is the winner! The rules are simple. No pinning during class, just during lunch and in between the bells.
On Thursday October 27th 2016 homerooms will be given one pumpkin to carve as best as they can, if the judge believes it’s the best of them all that class will be given a prize for their awesome work!! Everyone should participate so it looks the best! Anything you think of carve it out and also add accessories to make it looks either super pretty or super scary!!
