September 24, 2016- The city of Miramichi hosted their annual Pumpkin fling contest!! In this contest people sign up to get a chance to fire a pumpkin out of the PUMPKIN CANNON towards a target floating in the river. The closest to the target wins. New for 2016 is the mini trebuchet challenge.
After a first place finish at the zones last weekend, the boy’s baseball team are headed back to regionals this year, looking for redemption after getting beat out by Mathieu-Martin in the same weekend last year. The Tommies first game will be a 1:00 start, at Kiwanis Park in Moncton. They will be playing Riverview High school.
Every Friday our human services 110 class taught by Mrs. Cormier takes the whole period and travels down to the senior’s home, they play games, meet new residents and hear all about those residents wonderful lives! There is always lots of laughs and all students have a blast.
Interact is a group of people who want to make a difference in their community by doing things to help others, for example, one of the activities we do in the fall is raking leaves for elderly people living in the community.
This past weekend the boy’s baseball team captured the zone championship. The team started off the weekend by losing to MVHS on Thursday by a score of 5-0. After that loss the boys never looked back as they defeated E.M.E by a score of 11-1 with Evan savoy getting the win. With that win the Tommies advanced to the semifinals and were set to face the WAL Bison.
