Founded in 1994, the Environmental Services Association Maritimes (ESAM) has been operating for 26 years as a not-for-profit business organization dedicated to the promotion of environmental products, services and organizations within the environmental industry.
Our Board brings a diverse skill set to ESAM, with representation from the Federal Government, academia, the consulting industry, and business owners. The breadth of experience is impressive and includes expertise in the fields of environmental assessment, fisheries and wildlife, hazardous materials, site assessment, remediation, and research and development.
Purpose
To Provide a $500 scholarship to three deserving high school graduates intending to pursue a post-secondary education in a science or environmental program. Three scholarships will be awarded, one in each Maritime province.
Criteria
• Applicant must be a resident of the Maritimes.
• Applicant must be a graduating high school senior and be accepted to attend a post-secondary institution in the year of award.
• Applicant must be furthering their education in a science or environmental field of study.
Required With Your Application
• Completed Application Form (download form)
• Proof of Acceptance to a Post-Secondary Institution
• Letter of recommendation from a teacher or community member
• A 250-500 word essay explaining why you have chosen to pursue an education in the science/environmental field.
• Files must be submitted as Word of PDF files

This ONE application is for 51 different scholarships and bursaries ranging from $75 to $2000.
Look through the eligibility and simply check the box "I am applying for this scholarship" if you meet the criteria. You must check one of the boxes to submit the application.
Some of these specific scholarships require additional information (to be filled out on the form) or reference letters to be sent to jmhscholarships2024@gmail.com so please pay attention to what is being asked and fill it out completely (first and last name etc.).

The Wessex Scholarship is presented annually to commemorate the visit by His Royal Highness The Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex to IWK Health in November 2015.
A $5,000 award, this scholarship recognizes the important role community service has played in supporting the IWK in providing exceptional care to patients and families. The Wessex Scholarship is awarded to a deserving individual by the IWK Foundation.
Eligible applicants will be graduating from an Atlantic Canadian high school and entering a post-secondary health care degree level program at an Atlantic Canadian institution (please see Appendix A for a list of eligible programs). This scholarship focuses on the impact of community service and as such, applicants should be active participants in their community. A minimum grade average of 80 per cent is required.
Students who have applied, but have not yet been accepted into an eligible program may still apply for Wessex Scholarship and may be asked to provide proof of acceptance at time of award if selected.
Final deadline to apply is Friday, May 10 2024.

The New Brunswick Aviation Museum (NBAM) is proud to announce a scholarship program for New Brunswick students entering the first or second year of an aviation or aerospace related course at an approved college or university. Applicants must be interested in pursuing a career in the aviation and/or aerospace sectors.
Thanks to a generous donation from our partners at Irving Oil, we will award two (2) $2,500 scholarships in 2024. NBAM and Irving Oil understand the importance of education and training for those entering this challenging field. This scholarship program is designed to assist deserving students with their post secondary education.
AWARD
The Irving Oil Aviation Scholarships enable students to pursue a post-secondary education leading to excellence within the aviation or aerospace sector. This year, NBAM will award $2,500.00 scholarships to two students to offset post-secondary education expenses and encourage further education in the aviation
CONDITIONS
All applicants must be enrolled in an approved program or institution in Atlantic Canada. For high school students, proof of acceptance into an approved educational program is required.

Applications must be received by NBAM-Irving Oil Aviation Scholarship Selection Committee no later than May 31, 2024 @4:00pm

The City of Miramichi Inside Workers CUPE Local 3863 has (1) bursary valued at $500.00 in memory of John James Bryenton.
The bursary is for the students' first year attendance at any university, college, or community college. Preference will be given to sons and daughters or legal wards of members of CUPE Local 3863.
Basis of award is marks, aptitude, promise and financial need. Application forms are available from members of the Education Committee of Local 3863 or your high school guidance counsellor.
The application must be returned to the Education Committee of Local 3863 no later than May 10, 2024.
Applications may be mailed to the address below or emailed to cupe3863.president@gmail.com. Successful applicants will be notified as soon as possible. The cheque will be awarded upon verification of attendance at the university, college or community college.

CRITERIA: 1. Applicant must be a Scotsman, Scotswoman, or be of Scottish decent.
2. Applicant must have been accepted for entrance to Arts, Science or Applied Science
Course at the University.
3. Financial need to be taken into consideration in deciding among applicants.
4. If the recipient fails to maintain pass-standing he / she, at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee, may be required to forfeit the Scholarship.
THE HIGHLAND SOCIETY OF NEW BRUNSWICK AT MIRAMICHI
JOHN CROSBIE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP & LEN ROBERTSON SCHOLARSHIP
VALUE: $3500.
TERM: One (1) year.
CRITERIA: 1. Must be a member or a son or daughter of a member in good standing of the Highland
Society of New Brunswick at Miramichi.
2. Must be attending a first-year program at a recognized Canadian University.
3. Financial need to be a consideration in deciding among applicants.
4. One-half amount payable in the fall; second half on proof of satisfactory first-term
results.
EDUCATIONAL GRANTS
VALUE: $2500
TERM: One (1) year. (Candidates may re-apply annually)
CRITERIA: 1. Relatives of members of Highland Society of N.B. at Miramichi in good standing,
(sons, daughters, grandchildren, nephews, nieces).
2. Must be planning to attend an institution providing post-secondary education.
3. Financial need to be a consideration in deciding among applicants.
All applications for Scholarships or Educational Grants must be accompanied by:
1. Letter of acceptance
2. Transcript of your marks from your school or university
3. Two (2) letters of reference
4. Recent photo suitable for publication

Good morning graduates,
Over the last few weeks, you have been getting a barrage of Teams announcements and posts on the JMH 2024 Grad page of scholarships, bursaries and awards. Here is a compilation of the external scholarships that have been posted (or will be posted) to the grad distribution list. They are listed alphabetically.
Use this list to search on the Teams page and narrow down your focus on the awards you qualify for There are also scholarships that have an online link or website address and you will use that link to find information or apply for those scholarships.
Please look at the due dates so you can prioritize your efforts. You should also inform parents and guardians that this information is publicly available on the JMH Website: Guidance | James M. Hill High School (nbed.nb.ca)
In the next couple of weeks, we will also be releasing the "Internal" Scholarship Application - this is done completely online and has approximately 35 scholarships attached to it. This is not available yet, but will be shortly.

Eligibility: A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student graduating from James M. Hill Memorial High School who will be entering trade or a trade apprenticeship program.
Criteria: Community and School Involvement.
Presentation: The award will be presented by a member of the Scott Bowes family. Written confirmation from the post-secondary institution must be provided.
Selection of Scholarship: A committee comprising of the Scott Bowes family will review all applications. What do you know about Scott?
Application Deadline: May 20th of each year.
Email to valerielbowes@gmail.com with “Scott Bowes Memorial Scholarship” in the subject line. Printed applications can also be dropped off at the main office at JMH.

The River Hoops Basketball Association Bursary will be awarded annually to four graduating TMBA and River Hoops basketball players who best demonstrate the positive qualities inherent as an ambassador for the sport of basketball, and for our programs.
