Biology 112-  They have started a new unit on Classification.  They had a test on Thursday on cell membranes.   Biology 122- They are working on review questions and a genetic disorder project (Due Tuesday March 27).  They will have a test on pedigree, meiosis and genetic disorders on Wednesday.

Biology 122-  Students wrote a test today on Genetics and tomorrow there will be a presentation regarding blood types from the Canadian Blood Services.  Students can choose to participate or not.  Those students who wish to participate and are 16 and under must fill out a permission form.   Biology 112- They have a quiz tomorrow on Cell Organelles.  They have completed a worksheet and reviewed it in class.

  Biology 122- Students are learning about genetics.  Period 4 have a sheet and questions to finish for Wednesday.   Biology 112- They are starting to study cells.

Science 9- Working on questions in class.   ES122-  Students had a presentation today of their GAIA project.   Bio112- TEST tomorrow.  Intro to animals, sponges, cnidarians and worms.

Science 9- Quiz on Ecosystems tomorrow.  We reviewed in class today what they need to know.   ES122- quiz tomorrow on Ecosystem structure.  They were given a review sheet and we reviewed it in class on Tuesday.   Bio112- They are doing a worm dissection tomorrow and there may be a quiz on Wednesday on the Intro to animals, sponges, cindarians and worms.

Science 9-  Students have started the Ecosystem Unit and they are working on a Species at Risk project.  The project is due Wednesday and there will be a quiz on Friday.   ES122-  There deadline for their Lab write up and the presentation was today for the GAIA project.  They were given a review sheet that we will og over tomorrow.   Bio112-  The are learning about the Animal Kingdom.  There were questions assigned today in class.

Science 9-  Students are finishing up the space unit and we are going to be starting the Ecosystems unit.   ES122-  Student are finishing up their GAIA projects, they are writing up a formal lab report and they will be doing a presentation for the class.  They are also responsible for completing ecopoint assignments which will reflect 25% of their mark.  This assignemt was given to them early on in the course.   Bio112-  They are finishing up the plant unit and we are going to have a test on Wednesday Dec 7 on the Fungi and plant unit.

Science 9-  Student tested their space probes today.  There were some very inventive ideas!  We will be continuing witht the space unit next week and a test will be coming up...I will tell when on Monday.   ES122-  Biome projects are due today.  They are still working on their GAIA project and Ecopoint challenges.  Lab report sheets were handed out and each group will be responsible for writing a report and doing a presentation of the project.   Bio112-  We are finishing up the Fungi Section and moving into the Plant section next week.  There will be a test after the Plant unit is completed.

Science 9-  Student had a test on Tuesday, November 15.  They are now working on space probe projects.  They are to bring in material for the project from home.  The materials are meant to be common, inexpensive items that they may have around the house.    ES122- They have several projects on the go.  They are working on a GAIA project that is based out of Fredericton.  They are responsible for all aspect of the project and they will have to write up a formal report and do a presentation about their topic.   They are also working on a biome project.  Each person in the class was given a sheet with all of the instructions to complete the project.  This was given to them approximately two and a half weeks ago.  The project is due next Friday, November 26th.    They have an ecopoint challenge that they should be working on at home and in their free time.  This section is worth 25% of their mark.   Biology 112- They are writing a test today on Prokaryotes and Protists.  The next section we will start on is Fungi.

Science 9-  There will be a test on the space unit on Tuesday Nov. 15.  We will do a review in class on Monday, but they were told to review their notes over the weekend.   ES122-  They are still working on projects.   Bio 112- They are studying about the group protists, and today they will complete a lab.
