As Tommies, we are all part of a community that works at taking care of each other. Things are not always perfect, for any of us, but we know we are stronger together, and will keep working to support each other. This video reminds us... you got this, Tommies!
Every year James M Hill participates in a fundraiser called Trick or Eat. This fundraiser happens every Halloween and it is when students go out and ask for canned food, non-perishable, and food bank acceptable items from different houses around the town. The Interact group at our school is in charge of it, but everyone is welcome to help if they want to.
The Boys’ Basketball team kicks off their season this Friday, November 10th, 2017 with a game at 2pm against Woodstock, and another game that same night at 8pm against Carlton North. The team has been working hard to make sure that this season is a great one, and are training hard for the upcoming Hoop Classic tournament on the 17th and 18th.
On Friday the 27th and Saturday the 28th of October, James M Hill put on a haunted house to raise money for TADD. This haunted house has been almost a month in the making and it has paid off well. There was a constant stream of people in line to be frightened, and they all were.
On Friday, October 27th, and Saturday, October 28th, the James M. Hill Interact and TADD (Teens Against Distracted Driving) clubs will be holding a haunted house at the school. Tickets will be sold at the door and will cost $3 for students (12 Years and up) and $5 for adults. The house will be open from 7pm to 10pm, and TADD will also be holding a canteen full of spooky snacks and treats.
The JMH Announcement team has launched their own Vimeo channel for announcements this. This will allow parents and students to view announcements on their mobile devices in HD. Everyday these videos will be posted to our Facebook page.
The Tommies prepared to go to war against reigning champs, St Stephen. Like always this was a full week of practice, and learning new defense plays as well as switching most of the Offense line, with Evan Stevens and Tanner Doyle alternating center, as well as Tanner going fullback. Jared Macdonald also played defense. This week, the Tommies get ready to go against Harbor View, this will make or break their play-off games. So hard work and determination will hopefully put them through.
