Thursday- Test on first unit of the course- Wellness, Intro to Nutrients and Digestive system. (Review sheet attached) Friday-  Have a record of everything you ate for one day ready to analyze based on Canada's Food Guide to Healthy Eating.

Homework- Read chapter 2 of your textbook and complete the "Backtrack" worksheet for Friday. Everyone is to bring a dutang folder with them to class to begin writing their "Lifestyle Challenge" journals.  First enter is due on Friday. Don't forget to wear your pedometers and record your steps. Sign up for the Live Right Now Challenges and Circle Canada Classic if you have not already done so.

Feb 2 and 3 Slide presentation- Making Wellness a Lifestyle (see attachment) Complete the Lifestyle Assessment sheet for Feb 3. Feb 3- Log in to Live Right Now and join our class group.  Do the Age Challenge test and explore other challenges you may decide to do to improve your lifestyle.   Visit Getwellnesssoon.ca and take the wellness quiz.  Feb 4- Video- Adolescence, Food and Health.  Write a poem for The Big Crunch Contest.  Poems are due on Monday, Feb 7th Feb 7- No regular class- Assembly for grade 11 and 12 at this time.

Course outline and procedures were handed out today. (See attachment) Course textbooks were given out. Course evaluation was explained. Lifestyle Challenge activity was explained.  Students are to log onto www.liverightnow.ca and join our group- Nutrition for Healthy Living. Homework- Explore the site and some challenges.  Decide what challenge(s)you would like to do this semester. Class is moving to room 304 tomorrow.

Monday- Jan 17.  Class will deliver a nutriton snack to all period 2 classes before learning about table setting and receiving job schedules for the week. Tuesday and Wednesday- Jan 18-19  See attached production schedule.  Thursday- Jan 20  Review of Baking skills and table setting (see attached review questions) Friday- Jan 21- Test on baking skills and table setting.
