Week 1 and 2 Culinary Tech 110

During the first week of the Culinary Tech 110 course we discussed the content and practical experiences that will take place in the course during the semester.  During the first week of classes we looked at the types of careers available in the industry and what it takes to be successful in the industry.  Homework for Monday, Sept 13th- Read chapter 1 of textbook and complete work sheet (Food Service clues).  On Monday we will be completing the first outcome and chapter 1.  Wednesday, Sept 15th - Test #1.

May 4-17

Nutrition for Healthy Living 120 May 5th- Test on Protein May 17th- Power point presentation due on Vitamin or Mineral   Child Studies 120 May 5- Chapter 7 study guide due   Hospitality and Tourism 110 May 4th- All airport assignments and photostory scripts must be submitted May 12th- Brochure for AEI due   Fashion Tech 110-120 Project 3 should be completed by May 14th.

Week of April 16-23

Nutrition for Healthy Living 120 Complete all worksheets and study guide for Fats by Tuesday.  Wednesday the class will be delivering the nutriton snack to all period 2 classes.  Test on Fat on Thursday.  We will begin lesson on protein on Friday.   Child Studies 120 Tuesday- mini drama presentations by groups.  Hand in worksheets to go with each presentation. Wednesday- Notes on teething and motor development during the babies first year. Thursday- Complete chapter 6 worksheets and review to test on Pregnancy and the Newborn Friday- Test on Pregnancy and the Newborn   Hospitality and Tourism 110 Monday- Notes on Airport terminology.  Learn to find informaiton on airports and flights on the internet. Tuesday- Computer time to work on Assignment- Moncton and Halifax airports and arranging flights for various scenerios. Wednesday- Continue work on Photostory projects with Mr. Hayward Thursday- Test on NB scenic drives and Chap 3 of text- Planning and Development of Tourist Destinations Friday- Continue work on Airport Assignment.  Assignment is due on Monday.   Fashion Tech 110-120 All students should be working on project 3 now.

Week of March 8

Nutrition for Healthy Living 120- Complete label assignment.  Make corrections to diet analysis. Record food intake for a 3 day period.   Child Studies 120- Complete posters on stages of prenatal development.    Hospitality and Tourism 110- Complete assignment 4- Psychographics, Demographic and MNEs of Tourist. Begin section of chapter 2- Marketing Tourism.  Rick Hayward will be doing sessions each Wednesday on how to create Smart Board presentations to market regional tourism.    Fashion Tech 110-120-  Everyone should be nearing the end of the first project and beginning to plan for project 2.  Patterns have come in and will be given out after the March break.  Anyone who has not submitted the assignment on tracing pattern symbols from patterns to fabric, must do so on Monday, March 8.   Enjoy the rest of your break!
