Period#1- students will need to complwete presentation infomation. A discussion on building a persausive argument."sell their Script"- Due on Thursday. Period #3- Law- Students will have a quiz on the definitions of law terms (30 minutes) Correct quiz another 15 minutes. The students will then look the set up of the courtroom and the purpose of the floor plan.  Period #4- Digital sound- Look at how lyrics balance with the music/ and instrument selection and style. Teacher will then begin to organize the times for each group to record.  Period #6- Law- - Students will have a quiz on the definitions of law terms Correct quiz another 15 minutes. Draw and lable the diagram 7.2- page 163/ Differences of provincial and federal court. Period #2- Students will watch an episode of the first 48 hours, which show students the events of cime solving. Period #4 DIGITAL SOUND 120- Finish Watch Foley assignments.- Tour the District 16 sound studio and introduce Pro tools software. Period #6-LAW 120- Open discussion of the courhouse case that was viewed earlier this morning. Predictions and criminal codes and offences and courtroom policies.

Period #1- THEATRE ARTS- Finish story- Typed copy- write a proposal- The proposal should be a persuasive paragraph that woould entice the reader to want more and ask questions. Ask yourself what makes this story different than any other. After the proposal, you may start on two of the options Sketch your poster. Begin your presentation: the proposal is the opening part of your presentation. (The importance of a Hook) write down the top five genres of movies you like. write down 4 of you favourite actors write down 3 of you favourite movie twists Write down two of you favourite cliches used in movies- codes and conventions. You are going to write a script of an original idea for a movie. Period #3-LAW 120-  Special gust speaker- a visit from a police officer to discuss the various roles of police, their responsibilities and their education. He will also talk about his experience with circle sentencing and answer questions from the students. Period #1- THEATRE ARTS- Students will begin a powerpoint presentation of the top 10 best movies of all time. As well as 5 of the worst. With each slide, students should describe what makes it the best or worst. They may include the following to show how good it is: Sales- audience tickets Reviews by credible resources Clips to highlight scenes Awards The purpose of the assignment is not to simply show students whjat movies they like or dislike, the purpose it to be able to support your choice. Choose your words carefully and the information presented should result in a solid understanding as to what makes it a quality film, or a poor movie. Work in Pairs- Due on Tuesday October 25th, 2011 Period #3-LAW 120-  Forensic evidence- we will begin our 5 day research presentation of Forensic science. Remember that this presentation is due on Tuesday October 25th, 2011.   Period #4 DIGITAL SOUND 120- Foley sound. We  begin by taking a quick look at Adobe Premiere CS4. You do so by activating the SmartSynch software then click "recieve files"- then drag or copy to D drive. To open the file in premiere simply run the software and click"file" then "import" and choose the file. Then drag file to timeline and you can edit. Students will then choose one of the 30 second clip and add sound. You may want to choose a piece of music to underlay the video then add sound effects to punch up the story.   Period #6-LAW 120-    Forensic evidence- we will begin our 5 day research presentation of Forensic science. Remember that this presentation is due on Tuesday October 25th, 2011.
