Period 1: Psychology- guest speaker
Period 3: History 112: Students will choose one of the two assignments attached in order to display their knowledge of the industrial revolution.
Period 4: Students will begin a study on newspaper writing. Today students will be given a list of newspaper labels and then identify them on the newspaper. They will then read 1-2 articles and then write a summary about it. Finally they will discuss with their partner the differences in newpapers here and at home as well as the way in which students typically get their news. Are these ways more or less reliable? Are they more interesting? Why?
Period 6: Theatre Arts: Students will begin to look at the power of script. The vocal component and audio of a script is vital to setting the environment for the the story. Students will begin a project on develkoping their own script and producing an envionment. An outline is placed in the assignment attached to help maintain a steady flow for the project.

Psychology 120- Emotional intellegence
Law 120: Students will research a cold case or an unresolved case.
· Summarize the case- (2-3 paragraphs)
· Explain the evidence (1-2 Paragraphs)
· Write the closing statement of either the prosecution or the defense. ( 2-4 Paragraphs)
· Remember that the closing statement is the story according to the Crown or Defense. Use the evidence to back up your story.

Period 2 and 4 Law: Prep day. Students will research and prep for thier Law cases. Opening arguments begin tomorrow. Follow these prompts to write an opening statement. (Other students may wish to start their paper.)
- A good opening statement inckudes how the attorneys plan to prove their case.
- Events are in order so Jury can understand it.
- Begin by addressing the court- "Your Honor, my name is __________ and I represent the Crown/Defense in the case of ______________.
- Include these important proper statements: "The evidence will show that..." or "The facts will prove that..."
- Include your witnesses- names according to the case to provide strength for you case.
- You may wish to warn the jury about your opponents schemes- "The defence will try to ..." Or the prosecution may show that..."
- Conclude with a strong statement that shows what you intend to do. "Not guilty"
- This could be about 1 page.

1. According to the Canadian Charter of Rights, can the accused be charged even though this is possibly a religious act?
2. In your opinion is the father guilty? Identify who do you think is guilty and of what crime
