You won't believe what students will learn this semester!

Physics 112

Physics is the study of nature and the laws that govern the universe. Students will start by exlporing the concept of light, then move on to kinematics and dynamics and we will finish the course with a study of work, energy and power.

Chemistry 112

Chemisrty focuses on the interactions of matter. The course breaks down in to two major units: From Structures to Properties and Stoichometry. The first unit is a more theoretical look at how matter is classified, its physical and chemical properties and a more detailed look at the atom and formation of compounds. Stoichometry is a more mathematical approach to chemical reactions.

Physics 122

A more indepth, 2-D, look at concepts from grade 11. Additional units will cover qualitative and quantitative studies of circular motion, universal gravitation, simple harmonic motion and electricity.

Science 10

Physics 112: Week of Nov. 13 - 16

Continue working through questions related to Newton's Laws.
There will be a quiz Thursday, November 15. For the quiz be familiar with inertial and non-inertial frames of reference and examples of each. Review the laws and know examples of when each law is being applied in a situation. There will be one problem to solve with the 2nd law and one problem that relates to kinematics and dynamics.
Friday is more review of Newton's Laws and on Monday the hope is to get to problems about connected masses.
