History 112: Students will finish powerpoints on the Cold War- Teacher will summarize the relationship between countries during this time. Ancient History students are working on theri final presenations on Rome. Some students may need to complete the following Rome questions that were given before the break. (A one page write up) What Roman structures are still standing today? Why is Rome sdignificant? What is something you found that is interesting about Rome. Law Case #2: Opening statements today

History 112: Students will begin to gain an understanding of the cold war. Indiviually answer the following  question and then choose a topic from the list- Powerpoint should be 10-15 slides. In your own words describe what is the cold war (give dates) Who are the parties involved with the cold war? Choose one of the topics in the list and present it in your prowerpoint. Ancient History 10: Students will read pages 208- 211- Answe Question 2 (a and b) on page 211 Then read pages 212-214 and write in your own words 2 paragraphs a summary of the Pax romana. Finally answer question 1 on page 215. Law 120- Students will begin case #2 today- the Lawyers will have today to question and prep witnesses. Students who are not lawyers will research the net to do the following: Choose a career Law enforcement- Anything from Judge to Court reporter. Give a brief explaination of the responsibilities of the job and then trace the education and requirements of the profession. In other words how does one become a __________? (Police officer, judge, court reporter, fornesic investigator, ect) One page due by classtime tomorrow.

History 112- Holocuast final project. see attachment. Ancient History: Imagine that the Senate of Rome comes to you to ask you to develope a travel brochure in order to bring more people into the city. ( Folded to reveal six sides.) (Keep in mind that this is an ancient travel brochure) (2 days)- Pairs Front Cover- This side should be your front cover- it should get your attention/ tells what the brochure is about. Then you should include a brief history of Rome. (Include the background- ancient history- how did Rome was established.) Also include a map- where is it located in Italy? What is around it? What is there to do in Rome for entertainment? (Live theatre, Circus Maximus, Colosseum ) Other accomplishments (The goal is to Brag about this city) Make sure to include your contact information, be creative but appropiate. Law 120- Quiz today.

History 112: Teacher will discuss with students the value of the Holocaust. Ancient History: Look at Rome- on a piece of paper find out the following: Identify three Ancient Roman architecture still standing today. Explain them. What were they used for? Why were they built, how are they used today? Discuss the Historical significant of the Ancient Roman culture. (why is it important to study?) Try to find something that you think that Mr. Gopee does not know about Ancient Rome. (explain it, your chance to teach the teacher) Law 120: Discuss the trial- Study for definition test tomorrow.

History 112: Students are watching schindler's List. The teacher has already discussed the Holocaust and the significance of it. The students will watch the film and then discuss the value of this piece of history, We will examine other "holocaust" that happen or is still happening around the world.Ancient History : Unit test on Greece.Law 120: Law students are in mid-trial. Today Lawyers work on their cases. interview witnesses and prepare for statements. Other students are writing their case study. Follow these guidelines:Choose a canadian caseSummarize the case- ( who, what, why, when, where and how)Tell me about the Actus Rea and Mens rea of the case. (Include whether it was negligence ect.)Explain the argument and evidence used in the case by both the prosecution and defense.Conclusion of the case- what happened? Was there an appeal?Your thoughts on the case.Remember the paper should be 3 pages in length. If you are a witness you do one less page. Lawyers do not do this assignment.

History 112: Students will take a small quiz on the presenations that they have prepared for the class. Today students begin Schindler's List. the students have had a background about the Holocuast and an understanding as to what happened in WWII. Ancient History students will prepare for their quiz tomorrow. Their review is attached.law 120: Students have begun Mock Trials. The case will conclude on Friday. Students are acting out the roles of Lawyers, Jury members and witnesses.
